In the past 2 days i noticed that in the 5-10 minutes i spent outside going from the house to the car before going to the airport, i got 9 mosquito bites. NINE. Florida is dangerous.

the beginning of june
This blog is about the trip that Michelle (my little sister) Paul (my boyfriend) and myself took to Florida to see my dad (Joe) and my aunt (Peg)
This picture happened at the Dallas/ Fort Worth airport during our 2 hour layover.

We found the longest tallest escalator i have ever seen

my lunch
(not that good)

When we arrived in Florida, i was greeted by a very cute and wonderful kitty (Missy)

(Michelle)

This picture isnt that great, i took it meaning it to be a picture of Paul and Dad, but it has turned into a picture illustrating how close the lake was to the house my aunt (Peg) lives in. We are standing in the garage.

this catfish made really weird noises, kind of like a guinea pig

the palm trees here have coconuts!

Boca Grande

We drove three hours to a place called Homestead, "the gateway to the Keys"

santa?

the next day we drove another 3 hours in the RAIN....:( thanks tropical storm Barry. This is what the keys look like during a storm

The highlight of that day was waffle house (not as good as you'd think)

It rained all day, we walked probably 5 miles looking for a beach, then spent the night watching all the drunk people on Key West. Turns out Key West is a small island with hundreds of bars and assorted other kinds of tourist traps. I would recommend this beach, which is at mile marker 37. It was voted the most beautiful beach in the united states. They say the water is usually crystal clear, but thanks to barry, it was cloudy. The sun came out for a little bit, and it only rained a minute or so.

if my aunt (Peg) had a moto, it would be, "ill smoke until i die!"

Sunset on our last day
(btw, i didnt take all of these pictures, Paul (my boyfriend) and Michelle (my sis) took some of them)
